Man Utd 26/27 kits: home, away, third and prices

The Man Utd 26/27 kit costs £85 for an adult replica shirt, £60 for kids and £120 for the authentic player version, whichever of the three you pick, per the club's own store and 101 Great Goals' kit breakdown. Here's every shirt, when it came out, what it really costs once you add a name on the back, and how not to get stung by a fake.

Last checked: 28 October 2026. Prices are the club store's full prices unless we say otherwise, and the store runs sales, so check before you buy.

Home: red, polo collar, back to 1977

The home shirt went on sale on 14 May 2026, and for the first time United switched to the new kit before the old season was out, as Sports Illustrated pointed out: the men first wore it at home to Nottingham Forest that Sunday. Goal gives the same 14 May release date.

It's a plain red shirt with a polo collar and striped cuffs, a nod to the side that won the FA Cup in 1977, ahead of that win's 50th anniversary next May, per Graphic Online and Yahoo Sport. Credit where it's due: it's the best home shirt adidas have given us in years. Shame about what's been wearing it.

Full prices on the official store's home range:

  • Adult replica £85, long-sleeve £90
  • Authentic £120, authentic long-sleeve £130
  • Kids £60, mini kit £50, baby kit £40
  • Adult shorts £38, socks £20

Home and third shirts were marked down by 20% on the store when we checked (adult replica £68, kids £48). The away range wasn't.

Away: royal blue and the River Irwell

The away kit went on sale on 22 July, per Centre Devils via Yardbarker, and United first wore it at Rosenborg two days later, per 101 Great Goals. It's royal blue with a wavy pattern that references the River Irwell and harks back to the late-1980s blue shirts, per the club store's listing and Football Shirt Culture. Same prices as the home: £85 adult, £60 kids, £120 authentic.

Third: ivory, roses and the Salford Lads Club

The third kit launched on Friday 14 August, per Centre Devils via Yardbarker and Footy Headlines. It's off-white with maroon and green detail and four hand-drawn Lancashire roses on the front, and the sign-off on the back of the collar is based on the entrance sign of the Salford Lads Club, per Yardbarker and Goal.

On the store's third-kit page it was £85 full price (£68 in the sale), £120 for the authentic and £60 for kids.

Goalkeeper shirts

The away goalkeeper shirts, in pink and in yellow, came out on 22 July with the outfield away kit, per Footy Headlines, and the club store lists them at £85 adult and £60 kids. The store also lists a black home goalkeeper long-sleeve shirt at £90.

Name and number printing: another £30

The store doesn't publish a printing price list, but its own listings make it simple: every printed shirt is £30 dearer than the blank one. An adult replica with a player's name, number and sleeve badge is £115, a kids one £90 and an authentic £150, across the home, away and third ranges. Personalised orders take extra days to dispatch, the store says.

So the full adult home kit (shirt, shorts, socks) is £143 at full price. Put a name and number on it and one printed kit costs £173. That's before you've bought one for a kid.

For context, £85 makes our shirt joint-third dearest in the league. Only Spurs (£90) and Chelsea (£89.99) charge more for an adult home shirt, per Football Ground Guide's price ranking and TheIndustry.fashion. Top-end prices for a side sat 16th after the Bournemouth shambles, one point above the drop. And every pound goes into a club still carrying the Glazer debt.

Where to buy, and how to spot a fake

The kits are sold through the United store online, the Old Trafford Megastore, selected adidas shops and adidas.com, per Yahoo Sport. If you're going to the ground anyway, our Old Trafford guide covers getting there, and the tickets guide covers getting in.

Trading Standards' advice on fakes, from the Chartered Trading Standards Institute and Leicestershire Trading Standards:

  • A price far below the usual £60 to £120 for a current shirt is the first warning sign.
  • Look for loose threads, glue marks and messy embroidery, especially on the badge.
  • Check the hem and sleeve stitching, and whether the thread inside matches the fabric.
  • A genuine shirt feels light and breathable; fakes feel flimsy or heavy.
  • Buy from the club, official stockists or big national retailers, not social media listings or market stalls.

If you think you've bought a fake, the Citizens Advice consumer helpline is 0808 223 1133 in England and Wales, per the CTSI.

Is it worth £85?

The home shirt is genuinely good, and the third is the nicest thing adidas have put a United badge on in a while. Neither is worth £120 in authentic form, which is a slimmer fit for the same badge. My guess, and it's only a guess: when the club store has two of its three shirts 20% off by late October, more cuts are coming. If you can wait, wait. Charging Chelsea and Spurs money for a team one point off the bottom three takes some nerve.
